The Mission of the NOWScouts
An Emergency Preparedness(1) and Response(2) organization, with Green Beret Leadership and influence, empowering young people and adults to be materially impactful in times of crisis and trouble. A natural by-product of such an endeavor is the creation of Strong, Capable and Self-Reliant individuals of good Character, who, in being able to take care of themselves, have a vast capacity to help others. To become a NOWScout, an individual must pass a rigorous “Selection Process” as NOWScouts will likely be in dangerous and potentially life-threatening situations/missions. Rigorous training for anticipated conditions and challenges is required with regular recertifications after initial certification in each skill/squad role.

Register on the NOWScouts website.
Submit a Survival/NOWScout Kit improvised or created from normal household items. Bring this to a training event or submit photos or video explaining. Video Length Max: 5 minutes.
Along with your “kit,” submit letter providing the reasons you want to be a NOWScout. This normally is in a PDF or Word Doc, but a physical letter is also permitted. Upload to the NOWScouts website.
Pass the Selection Process by attending a series of Selection events.
