The NOWScouts:

An emergency preparedness and response program, with experienced U.S. Army Green Beret leadership, empowering citizens to be materially impactful in times of crisis and trouble. A natural by-product of such an endeavor is the creation of Strong, Capable and Self-Reliant individuals of good Character, who, in being able to take care of themselves, have a vast capacity to help others. To become a NOWScout, an individual must meet the standards of a rigorous assessment; as NOWScouts will likely find themselves in potentially life-threatening situations conducting missions to save others. Rigorous training for anticipated conditions and challenges is required with regular recertification.

The Purpose:

The NowScouts is designed to help males, aged 11 and older, grow into resilient, disciplined, and service-minded citizens. The program pulls from Green Beret/Special Forces assessment and training methods, emergency response techniques, and the mentorship style only the most professional cadre of Green Berets could provide. The goal of this program is to raise capable leaders who can think clearly under pressure, take responsibility for others, and step into real service when it matters. In order to mold such young leaders, a particular set of character attributes must be assessed, strengthened, and constantly enforced.

The Great 8 Attributes:

1. Humility & Openness

2. Accurate Thinking Based on Pattern Recognition

3. Trustworthy

4. Likeability

5. Self-Reliant Through Skills

6. Self-Control & Discretion

7. Lead From The Front!

8. Complete Accountability

The Mission:

To be prepared and ready to immediately respond to emergency and crisis events… and to develop Character and Self-Reliance of people NOW!
